For U.S. Passport Holders:

It is possible to enter certain countries without a visa if you have a valid passport from the USA. Also, in most countries, students will not need a visa if the program is less than 90 days. However, travel regulations may change over time, so please make sure your visa requirement by contacting foreign embassy or consulate as far in advance as possible to find out: (1) Whether you must apply for a visa to visit the country, (2) When, (3) If the country has any other requirements you must meet before you can enter. For Non-U.S. Passport Holders:

Students who are citizens of other countries will need to check with the Consulate General Office to see if you will need a visa to enter another country. F-1 students need to make sure their U.S. visa will remain valid for at least 6 months after their study abroad program end date.
